Project Description
Real Club de Golf de Coruña was established in 1961 in an area close to La Coruña city (Galicia, Northwest Spain), 5km southwest of the city centre.
The golf course was designed by Mackenzie-Ross and had some changes made by local designers, a 72 par of 6.058 meters.
In 2014 a new board selected our team for remodelling the greens and approach areas of the back nine holes. A thorough remodelling work of all green surroundings, bunkers, shapes and landing areas were carried out, by relocating bunkers (adapting playing distances to new materials) and giving a more strategic design proposal to players.
The high trees in the property causes that only a small number of bunkers is required to create the design features we wanted to transmit to the player. By redesigning all green and fairway bunkers we set a new golf experience for golf players, mainly members of this well renowned club.
The course recently hosted the Spanish National Amateur championship, being the course remodelling very well valued by the players.
